What is not included in the price?
Prices do not include flights/ground transportation to/from Palm Springs, incidentals, insurance, COIVD tests, or additional activities or transportation outside of the planned events.

What is your cancellation policy?
Due to the upfront costs associated with planning a retreat, we have a no refund policy. We understand that no one books a retreat with the intention of canceling, however sometimes things happen and plans need to be changed, so we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance and covid insurance.*
*We highly recommend purchasing COVID travel insurance to cover trip expenses should you test positive for covid. The week of our Truckee retreat, 4 participants tested positive for covid and were unable to attend.
If you do cancel with enough notice, we will do everything in our power to fill your spot, and if your spot is filled we will be happy to refund you (minus a small booking fee). If we cannot fill it you will still be responsible for the payment.
If we need to cancel this retreat for any reason we will, of course, provide you with a full refund.
What are covid safety requirements for participants?
All participants are required to submit proof of vaccination, booster, and a *negative COVID test.
*We highly recommend purchasing insurance to cover trip expenses should you test positive for COVID.
What is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). PSP is a short drive from Spirit of Sofia boutique and you can easily catch a Lyft or Uber. If you’re interested in sharing a ride with a fellow retreat attendee, let us know, and we’ll connect you with anyone else who is interested and arriving at a similar time.
What style of yoga classes will be offered?
Rose and Emma both teach yoga classes that feature high energy, playful, and powerful elements of asana, dance-inspired movement, and strength technique. Through practicing creative and dynamic flow, as well as holding precise isometric challenges, students can expect to cultivate a healthy balance of strength and mobility in addition to somatic and technical awareness.
Beginners are absolutely welcome (and we often have folks in our classes who are brand new to the practice), though the classes are not geared specifically toward beginners.
Both Rose and Emma teach in a style that has lots of options throughout so folks can choose between options that may be more athletic/advanced and options that are less so. Teaching through a trauma-informed lens, we celebrate folks making the choices that feel best in their bodies, so we will often have folks hopping into arm balances next to folks exploring non-balancing options. That said, we both do love the energy of moving with a little more rigor and dynamism! In terms of the retreat setting, the evening classes will be mellower and it could actually be a really nice immersion for someone newer to the practice as there will be more opportunities to ask questions and receive individual attention.
Will there be special food for folks with dietary restrictions?
We will send all registered attendees a questionnaire and will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions.
What should I pack?
We will send out a packing list as the retreat approaches, but you’ll want to make sure to bring your yoga mat, a swimsuit, sun protection (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses), your favorite yoga wear, and shoes for lounging (sandals/flip flops) and hiking (hiking boots/sneakers).
Is it possible to connect with other participants before the retreat?
Yes! After signing up we will ask you if you would like to opt into pre-trip group communication via WhatsApp. We’ll also use the WhatsApp group to send out updates/reminders throughout the retreat.
